What began as a small floral shop December 1, 1987 in downtown Youngstown, Ohio has gone on to become so much more. Now that my sister Anna and I share the business, the shop has a variety services it offers. Below I will give you an idea of what each part of Something New does best.
Something New Florist- The foundation of our business has been built on our reputation for creating and delivering only the most beautiful and original floral designs. Our work is not only cutting edge for our area but I would put the skill of our design team up against any other florists in the country. Something New’s in house talent combined with Anna and I maintaining a constant focus on customer service makes us a success and insures that we have satisfied, repeat customers.
Something New Events -The success of Something New Florist led me to my current career path as an event designer. Something New Events designs parties of ever size and type in Pittsburgh, Youngstown, and Cleveland ( and everywhere in between!). Last year, I was so pleased to be recognized in the event industry by winning one of Special Event Magazine’s Gala Event Awards. From Bat Mitzvah to coporate event, gala wedding to anniversary party- my work is my life and I am thankful to be so passionate about my chosen profession. Something New Gift and Home Accessories -If you have not visited our store showroom, please do. We fill it with a great variety of home decor pieces chosen for different tastes and styles. In the thousands of pieces on display, we have very contemporary items as well as very traditional product lines. It is our goal to show beautiful things for every decor. We have regular customers who decorate ( and redecorate!) their homes based on our product displays! Interior decorators frequent our store and we are constantly renovating the showroom to accomodate the seasons latest finds. Something New Bridal & Gift Registry -Because weddings are a big part of our floral and event business, it only makes sense that we now offer Bridal and Gift Registry. Just last year Anna started this service in the store . We have products that are perfect for a new couple designing their lifestyle. Our bridal registry motto is ” Go elsewhere for the necessities, come to us for your accessories !” We don’t carry the traditional registry items like flatware and china patterns because our registry is meant to offer another option. What we do offer is amazing home accessory and serving pieces by David Aram, Beatriz Ball, and the GG Collection among others. We think that todays stylish couple will find the Something New Gift and Bridal Registry a good addition to using more traditional registry services.
